IMANARI JIU-JITSU ASSOCIATION

We are proud to announce the launch of the Imanari Jiujitsu Association.We welcome all who are interested in leglocks, do not have access to accredited instructors or belt promotion, and anyone who enjoys grappling, MMA, and jiujitsu.
Would you like to take your jiujitsu life to the next level with Imanari Jiujitsu? Those who are not familiar with Masakazu Imanari are invited to join as well.

Mission

【To spread Masakazu Imanari’s system of unique techniques】
Grappling and jiujitsu, especially leglocks have garnered global attention in today’s martial arts world.
Our mission is to teach the art and intricate details of Imanari Jiujitsu and the internationally known Imanari roll.

【Recruiting teams and dojos to join the Imanari Jiujitsu Association (branch) 】
We are currently looking for teams and dojos that would like to learn Imanari Jiujitsu directly from the source. According to the revised IBJJF provisions, belt promotions will not be acknowledged unless affiliated to an association with a third-degree black belt or higher. A second or third-degree black belt is necessary when promoting an interim black or brown belt. Masakazu Imanari can recommend a promotion or personally promote those from teams or dojos in areas with no qualifying black belt. (Belt promotion criteria and association regulations below)

Imanari Jiujitsu Association Registration

We are currently accepting groups, teams and clubs interested in joining the Imanari Jiujitsu Association. Join world famous Masakazu Imanari’s team on the mats.

【Terms】
There is no restriction in proximity between branch locations however some may have to be discussed. Generally, we accept any group that enjoys jiujitsu and grappling.

【Cost】
  • Association Registration Fee 10,000 yen + tax
  • Association Monthly Membership Fee 10,000 yen +tax


【Information to Association Branches from Masakazu Imanari】
  • A belt promotion will be provided with a recommendation from the branch representative. The branch representative can recommend for his own promotion also. Either way, please provide reasons for promotion (competition results, years of training, age etc.). Because people enjoy jiujitsu in different ways, competing is not required for promotions.
  • Masakazu Imanari is a third-degree black belt so promotions of black belts and interim black belts are possible.
  • It is not necessary for branches to include Imanari Jiujitsu on their brand and original names can remain as is. (Those who do want to include it may do so.)
  • If desired and schedule permits, Masakazu Imanari can personally instruct, or conduct seminars at a discounted price. (For branches without a black belt please take a personal instruction class at the main branch or have Masakazu Imanari conduct a seminar at the branch site once a year)
  • Discounts available when visiting the Imanari Jiujitsu headquarters.
  • Certifications will be provided when promoted.
  • Registration for IBJJF or other large entities under Imanari Jiujitsu Association is also possible.
  • Discount on Masakazu Imanari as well as Imanari Jiujitsu merchandise will be available. (Please get prior approval before putting out original branch merchandise for sale.)
  • Holding Imanari Masakazu, Imanari Jiujitsu, and IRE tournaments. (Please give prior notice, and referees and staff can be dispatched upon request)
